Two main factors motivated me in starting this blog NOW:
1. Personally
The emotional pain brought up by my repeated attempts to unsuccessfully control my circumstances made me realize once again that the only power I have is to transform my own relationship to those very circumstances, people and situations alike. Blogging publicly about the process forces me to face everything about my shadow. That process is not unique to me.
Simultaneously, I experience fears at revealing my small self and its fears and tremendeous excitment at the possibility of what I know is possible and can be created. The commitment to that second part is what fuels my actions.
2. Professionally
For almost a year now, I have been interested in the possibilities of an online business and have participated in numerous teleseminars on internet marketing. It is time NOW that I throw myself in the water, learning through experimenting. Waiting to figure it all out before jumping will only delay the process even further. Since I have recently signed up to participate in Leesa Barnes’ ”Social Media Telesummit” starting next Wednesday February 20th, 2008, it was appropriate to start using the tools to create a web presence, starting with a blog. A year ago after participating in Milana Leshinsky Coaching Telesummit, my head was reelling with information and I could envision the possibilities but my fear of technology was all encompassing.
So personally and professionally I can only benefit from facing the shadow of my fears and the push to do so comes from a very different place than my ego that keeps me safe and isolated.
