Many people anticipate 2012 to be a momentous year – an opportunity for individuals and for the collective to co-create a consciousness shift. The purpose of GCI is to increase heart coherence in the planetary energetic field environment to make this shift easier and accessible to more people. GCI research, membership, webinars, partnerships and the Global Care Rooms are for this purpose.
Global coherence doesn’t mean that every soul on the planet has to be heart coherent all at the same time; and total coherence won’t happen all at the same time. Coherence will increase in ratios over time, based on individual participation and actualization. However, collective heart-based events and intentions throughout 2012, involving myriad care-agents from all parts of the world, can cause a considerable jump in the coherence baseline, more so than we’ve experienced as of yet. This increased vibration in the field environment will encourage more people than ever to pursue becoming “who they truly are” (their real self), and to take the necessary steps to actualize it. We are individually responsible for sorting out “what’s our old self” and “what’s the new,” then using our heart’s intuitive guidance to help make the needed upgrade and align with our authentic nature. As we individually change, so does the planetary well-being.
The GCI hypothesis is that: Increased individual coherence leads to increased social coherence which leads to increased global coherence (in the planetary energetic field environment). As people commit to increasing their personal heart coherence baseline and radiate coherent intentions into the global field environment – it generates a synergistic feedback loop between humanity and the earth’s energetic fields. This alignment helps to raise the vibration of consciousness which inspires a deeper heart-felt connection among each other along with increased heart-based cooperation, yielding creative solutions for taking care of the earth and all its inhabitants. (The benefits are endless, yet this is not the space to elaborate.) The goal is to realize that we are one Earth, one yard and one people.
For 2012, let’s resolve to upgrade our personal coherence. Let’s commit to increasing our capacity to self-regulate our mind and emotions by aligning them with our heart’s intuitive guidance. Then they become the expressions of our higher qualities—love, care, compassion, kindness, gratitude, patience, forgiveness, acceptance… When our mind and ego vanities run the show without our heart’s guidance, our mental and emotional energy can tend to manifest as insecurity, frustration, impatience, separation, worry, anger, fear, depression, resignation… We all have our own personalized list. (This reads like a chapter in a self-help manual, doesn’t it—a bit of humor.) Yet it’s these types of feelings and emotions that prevent global coherence and especially block our personal coherent connection to who we truly are.
Let’s start the New Year with a collective GCI member’s resolution and commitment to access the power of our heart and patch these age-old energy leaks and coherence blocks. This is one of the highest contributions to the field environment we could make.
Let’s envision more people than ever through 2012, finding a deeper heart connection in their interactions and communications with each other as this is the baseline for social coherence which precedes global coherence. See qualities of the heart such as kindness, respect, non-judgment and compassion going viral within the global community. As we practice heart qualities in our local environment, it strengthens the coherence we radiate into the global field.

I braved my perfectionist tendencies and posted a video on her soul story contest page. Should some of you wish to vote for me, all you need to do is sign up at http://www.spiritualmessengersacademy.com.

You will then receive an email and at the bottom of the email is the link to the soul stories. My video is the first one on the page, it is just a little under 5 minutes long. The person with the most clicks will get a chance to be interviewed on her show.

My video is work in progress and it was an opportunity to try my message for size. There are still a few elements missing, but no longer waiting for perfection to lift me out of procrastination! Time is running out!

Yesterday I started to map year by year the highlights of each year and I was struggling with spelling it out linearly in writing. Today I started to notice 3 themes interwoven, which makes it easier to convey:

The first is disruption, events in the Middle East, direct consequence of 9/11, the invasion of Iraq and the retaliation locally by terrorist attacks against Western compounds (in 2003 I lived less than a mile away from the compound where many expatriates lost their live, I heard the bomb blast…), the constant theme of war and attacks the world over, almost daily on television screens, perpetuating fear… Upon further reflection I am realizing that this was mirroring my internal war, my self judgments of never being good enough and there was no chance for redemption ever….

The second theme that started to emerge is a direct call from Spirit that summoned me to action. It started around February-March 2002, I was feeling drumming in my hara center, literally could feel the wall of my belly fluttering. At first I was scared, what disease do I have, what is wrong with me….but soon a call emerged, a yearning to go into the wood, to be alone in Nature (and I was in the midst of the Desert in Saudi Arabia, no woods….). It stopped only when I made the resolve to take care of that need in August when I would be in Canada and I went then hiking solo while fasting in Algonquin Park for 10 days…. Something else I never dared share publicly with the world, just with a few close friends who knew me well. Which was followed by a few years of immersing myself in new (for me then) emerging edge ideas (transpersonal psychology, Spiral Dynamics) and older ones I had dismissed in the past (due to my overly rational mind) shamanism (Shapeshifting consciousness) and meditating and sharing online using the Vistar method (Andrew Cohen groups).

The third theme I am beginning to identify is connections to like minded people emerging in the last 3 years. But I was still feeling isolated (due to my own self judgments which kept me separate intra psychically). Learning about the new technology via the internet, being trapped into buying many programs claiming to have the solution to your problems, since I was still searching outside of myself for my own answers… but integrating some tools nevertheless. Then last year beginning to meet like minded women through Feminine Power, a few Mastermind programs, attending The Reconnection trainings, clearly I am not alone being “weird” (still judging…), and NOW via The Shift Network the course with Barbara Marx Hubbard, Agents of Conscious Evolution, again summoned to sign up for it, when I am only now beginning to have time to attend to it, giving me the larger context I was yearning for…. All in Divine Timing….. Then two days ago that deep connection to my God Self, a deep surrender, the shift is notable. Conscious evolution working its magic….The co-creative dance of evolution linking events, people, inspiration…

Since The Reconnection trainings with Dr. Eric Pearl last year,  I had hardly posted on my blog. I did not know where to begin articulating the depth of transformation occuring…. New energies are emerging now and I will document what is emerging through me in the days and weeks to come….

I had browser problems yesterday (Chrome did not open) so I am glad to see that Lynne McTaggart on her Facebook page www.facebook.com/LynneMcTaggart2011 posted the first live stream where Dr. Salah AlRashed offered his apologies to the West and she will post hers tomorrow. Then around 8.20 PM (my local time, 1.20 PM Eastern) yesterday I proceeded with the meditation sending peace to Afghanistan, this just popped into my mind since I did not know the topic of the experiment and experienced overwhelming love for all parties warring in that country.

Then a few minutes into it clearly got a message to try Firebox browser where I could then finally access the topic of the peace experiment. Was touched to tears to realize I had tapped into the topic. The power of the interconnected space and our common power to create when we come together in that space. I am so lit up!….

Empowering Women Liberates Men

I have been feeling sad, a mixture of sadness and confused emotions that I want to sort out by writing about it. I meditated upon this just now and then pulled out a card in the Shapeshifter’s deck and again the Blindness card is coming out. So Spirit is prompting me to go deeper with this issue.

For one, I am developing symbolic sight, seeing so many links and images that also relate to my life. Let me try to unravel them. The snake, such a powerful image of transformation, shedding its skin of outdated patterns of thinking which produce an outer reality that is in dire need of transformation, e.g. the current economic crisis, DSK is the head of IMF, so there is a link there. He is a French compatriot and a socialist, could have become the next French President, now that dream is compromised.

The confused emotions I am feeling are linked to the shady underworld of politics, where shady governments rule the lives of the ignorant masses. Most likely part of what happened to DSK he is responsible for, but a good deal of it could have been orchestrated by the shadow government of economics that rule the world and creates presidents and kings by manipulating the masses the world over. DSK was boarding a plane to a meeting with Angela Merkel to work out a financial plan to help a European country Portugal. Having Europe rise as an economic power would threaten the balance of shady power, so situations get orchestrated by manipulating people in power to play according to the shady government’s plans or get out (e.g. Clinton and Monica Lewinsky at the time is a similar scenario, when a leader is too popular and doesn’t play by the tune, he gets a warning or discarded..).

I can tap into DSK’s emotions and feel his disarray, this is part of his hero’s journey, entering his underworld to possibly retrieve the spirit in him that got lost in the outer world of easy success, the champagne life he had gotten used to. So important to not lose sight of who we really are when you rise in power and so easy to get lost in the outer world of being successful. I guess I still have some transformation to do there too. The temptation is there to go full out and recreate a business where I am the star, success is based on my own hard work and outer criteria of success, e.g. the money I earn or don’t, the reputation I develop that could boost my ego or not…. Or develop a business based on a different model to be created, where collaboration and partnerships of another kind is explored, where mutual transformation and potential of what can be rates higher on the scale of values than any individual success. Success would need to be defined by a collaborative vision of an evolved world, where the highest good is upheld over the possible greed based on the fear of lack of the old worldview in need of transformation, the complex world of modernity we are embedded in.

The other symbolism DSK represents is the need of transformation of the lower instincts of predatory sex, where a man of power thinks he is above the law and can abuse a women worker in a hotel, whether he is guilty or not, this is what gets triggered in me. That links directly to the situation of women in Islam who have to cover their bodies to feel safe of the male who has not learned to be responsible for his instincts and puts the blame and the responsibility on women to safeguard her morality. The hierarchical structures of patriarchy in need of transformation by teaching and modeling responsibility to the male gender, by educating women mothers in their responsibility to convey this message to their sons.

Another layer of what gets triggered for me is that now in the West there are structures in place where women can complain and can get justice. Now what seems a bit far out is that in this case with DSK he got pulled out of the plane to be arrested!… that in itself speaks to me of a conspiracy. As a woman and in touch with a number of women fighting for justice in the area of domestic violence, I know for a fact that the structures are far from perfect and that when a woman complains, the system is far from quick to respond to her request, can drag for months before the perpetrator is brought to justice. So in this case, within hours he was pulled from a plane to prevent leaving the country when a woman worker complained of sexual harassment or even rape. How did she get access to the FBI and the necessary competent authorities to stop a plane from taking off? Now you have to be more than blind to buy into the first level of interpretation on that story!…

I am increasingly keenly aware that my actions have a repercussion in my environment. We are all interlinked and can no longer ignore that reality. No amount of putting your head in the sand can shield you from the global impact someone else’s decision can have on your life. Perhaps it is time for each of us to reconnect to our true self, the spiritual being that is having a physical experience on planet Earth and take a stand for the kind of world we would like to live in.

The new world will emerge through personal transformation from each of us. The journey into the heart of your Being is truly a worthwhile quest, the perennial hero and heroine’s journey.

I came back to the region at the end of January 2011, wondering how to pick up the pieces of my life, now that I had unraveled and cleared many shadows. The biggest one that still is holding me back relates to wanting to do things perfectly. Putting it off until I have it all figured out, the shadow Saboteur of the Perfectionist, whose favorite strategy is procrastination.

Well this morning talking to my daughter, as she is going through lots of stress juggling many projects, the least not being the conference she is co-chairing at Queens’ where she is bringing John Perkins to Kingston for the keynote address on March 31st, 2011 (Details can be found there: John Perkins Public Lecture at Queens’ University ), I realized that it is time I get out of my own way and get on with my own projects.

Time is running out, the world is shifting and paradigms are being transformed and now also in the Middle East. There is nothing to perfect, just allowing the voice of my higher Self to come through will be the pebble I can bring to the pond, opening my heart and letting it speak as unperfectly as it can for now. Since there is only NOW anyway. Fluency in the language of the heart will come when I accept to practice that muscle.

We each have to become a disciple of ourSelf, stop waiting for the day we’ll have healed all the neurosis that come with the human condition, that keep us stuck in karmic patterns. When we resist the tidal wave of change that is sweeping our planet, we create conflict in our life and stay stuck in our “discomfort” zone, because there is nothing comfortable in waiting to have it all figured out and I can vouch for that!

The impulse to grow towards evolution is in each of us. May the text below help inspire the next step for each of my readers.

Critique of the book The World is as you dream it by John Perkins.

In his book Perkins relates a personal account of his encounter with the Shuar, and other indigenous people living in harmony deep within the Amazonian jungle of Ecuador. He first started going there as a member of the Peace Corps in 1968 after graduating from business school, attempting to organize credit unions within their communities. The education he got from them and the powerful shamans that eventually trained him helped change his dream into a more earth honoring and life sustaining one for the planet.

I agree with his words that «for most of us the power of dreams is snatched away during an education process that focuses on the material world. (prologue page xx)» In North America and most countries of Europe, we live in «a system that forces us to worship Lord Science at the expense of every thing else (p.10)». The shamans and indigenous people were educated in very different ways. However the dream that is currently shaping the world the is one that is being dreamt in corporate America with the tremendously destructive patterns it propagates the world over.

I was struck by a realization a couple of days ago, walking on Bloor street, downtown Toronto that the same stores, hotel chains, general atmosphere created by these can now be experienced anywhere in the world in the larger cities where I have traveled in the last few years. A sense of sadness at the loss of unique identity overcame me. I am just beginning to fully realize the cost of that dream for mankind and its sustenance on earth if we cannot wake up in time to change the dream.

The cosmology of indigenous people the world over is based on the oneness of all things.  «They do not see time and space the same way we do. They believe that everything that ever happened or will happen – in our concept – is still happening. It is all running along in parallel. (p.47)» Plants and trees possess the wisdom of the universe, they are «composed of identical atoms and chemicals (p. 23) than us. We in the ‘civilized’ part of the world have «forgotten how to use the wisdom that is our birthright, part of our DNA. (p.10)»

We have given power to our fantasies, e.g. that we can control nature and rule the Earth and turned it into a dream. But the world over that fantasy is backfiring on us, causing destruction and imbalance no other culture has been able to perform on such a wide ranging spectrum. We have to learn to live «as guests rather than adversaries» on Earth.

Shamans in the Amazon advised Perkins to bring people to the jungle, so they may experience a different dream and be empowered to change their current destructive one. «It can be accomplished in a generation (p.19)» if enough people get exposed to a new way of thinking. And according to indigenous prediction this is a time of changes, the age of Aquarius, the new Pachacutti, period of 500 years that will begin the new Maya calendar, where wisdom comes to one on a personal basis and not through a hierarchy. In this new period more earth honoring ways need to be integrated fast for us to survive as a species.

Tribal shaman have studied and used psychotropic plants for years and have taken them in order to become one with the world and heal. They  «‘psychonavigate’, which means ‘to travel through the psyche to a place where you need to be’ (p.47)», in order to obtain knowledge, diagnose illness, heal or cause other changes to occur. «For the words psyche, you can substitute subconscious, Jung’s collective unconscious, or parallel worlds. And the ‘place where you need to be’ can be a physical location, such as a new campsite if you are a nomad. Or it can be a place where you find answers to questions, an emotional, intellectual, or psychological state, the type of place artists, poets, and inventors journey to. (p. 47). To ‘travel’…. is really a matter of accessing those other regions, the parallel worlds. Some cultures, like the Shuar, use psychotropic plants; others play on drums, smoke, fasting, sweat lodges, ceremonial dancing, prayer or meditation. I really believe that the most important thing is intent. (p.47)» I have never used psychotropic plants, but can account for the powerful impact drums, fasting and meditation and journeying at the sound of the drum can have, to open you up to other realities, other dreams, parallel worlds.

«The shamans, …the really powerful ones, have always done things the rest of us think of as miracles….like Christ walking on water. (p.67)» «Some people are content to sit in meditation and gain peace of mind. Not the shaman. He or she must create change and teach others. (p. 67)» Part of Perkins’ learning from the shamans is that to heal of anything is to simply change the dream, «altering my perception changes the world (p. 108)»  «Sometimes we need a guide. We need to feel the spirits around us to help us understand that we are all one….Everyone has the power to be a shaman. (p. 100)»

We have to reconnect with the dream of mother Earth, Pachamama that resulted in the creation of life. We have to remold our communities, start planting new seeds, educate people, help them distinguish fantasies from dreams. Manco, powerful shaman who trained Perkins states that «Prosperity, is having enough of what we need when we need it… You need a new type of education….schools insist on teaching about separateness(p.103)» Conversations with Spirit guides and power animals is not consistent with our rational approach that has put humans on top of a pedestal of evolution at the detriment of all other species living on the face of Earth. Indigenous people education before missionaries brought the ‘new civilized world dream’ to them used to include learning how to travel into parallel worlds, to the past and the future, in order to understand and change the dreams. «Through dream change we are able to change the past and future…of course this also alters the present.(p. 104)» In my experience that is such a powerful statement, one that I have experienced many times over. One dream that I was holding most of my life and which had to do with how I perceived my world from day 1, after a difficult birth into this current life, causing suffering and feeling of separateness from others, got changed instantaneously when I took responsibility for choosing the circumstances of my birth which enabled much learning and certainly was part of my training as wounded healer, a shaman. I am lately strongly reconnecting with that energy in me. Therefore, I fully agree with Perkins’ statement « I found that I could change my past, could alter the outcomes of events that happened to me long ago. (p.110)»

Like a shaman, I feel the need to create change, to teach others. «Within each of us is a force – call it a ‘sense’ – that determines the ‘feel’ of any given situation…this force may be closely aligned with perception, and yet it appears to go beyond it, triggering chemical responses deep in our hormonal structure…The shamans…use this group of senses to travel into the parallel worlds. Once there, they rely on the five physical senses to help them understand and interpret what they find. (p.109)»

«If we truly live in parallel worlds, if everything is one, and it is all occurring concurrently, then all the shamans are here now, ready to help us. Their power is awesome. (p.110)» «The past … is our dream of a memory. It is not a fact….A perception. Everything we remember is filtered, like a dream being interpreted. Change the dream, change the memory, and you can change the past. (p. 111)»

The dream we live is «not the work of malicious human beings determined to destroy the planet. It was, rather, the result of a set of values, a cookbook of working philosophies, that has grown out of the dreams of a handful of individuals who espoused utopian theories of individual enlightenment, freedom, and rights to accumulate property. Those philosophies have been warped over time, stretched and contracted, molded and co-opted by greedy people who have converted the original dreams into justifications for gluttony and personal aggrandizement. (p. 126)» How can we change the past and re-dream our place in the natural world using ‘softer’ Earth-honoring approaches rather than ‘building things to last’. When politicians run for election they brain wash people with promises of building and growing the economy. «What they usually mean is building things that last, manufacturing houses, cars, appliances, computers, and other products from cement, metal, plastic, and other raw materials that are mined from Pachamama and that pass certain standards of endurance. The production of these things consumes vast amounts of energy and causes unquantifiable pollution. Ultimately, the things themselves create huge trash piles that are incompatible with the land and water surrounding them. How different this dream from that of an Amazonian tribe! (p. 127)»

In his epilogue Perkins introduces Earth Dream Alliance, a non profit organization that later became Dream Change Coalition (DCC) which has a three –fold mandate. DCC’s three primary goals are to inspire earth-honoring changes in consciousness, conserve forests, and apply indigenous wisdom in ways that foster environmental and social balance.

It is that vision I resonated with from deep within my soul when I was searching the net for a workshop to build my independent study program as an elective course for the ITP certificate program.

I am deeply grateful once again to have followed my heart for all the learning, or perhaps self-revealing that could take place during the week long workshop at Omega, to me a sure proof that indeed we are all one and all the knowledge of the universe is in my cells, a revelation I had when I did my vision quest almost 10 years ago and that I could not understand at the time.

I feel the time has come for me to actively play a role in contributing to rising the level of consciousness in the part of the world I live in, if only to plant a seed.

A powerful quote, isn’t it? Believe it or not, it’s from an article that Betty Freidan, author and founder of the National Organization for Women, wrote for Good Housekeeping magazine FIFTY years ago—in 1960! She was writing to all of the educated, smart women who found themselves strangely frustrated and dissatisfied with their expected roles of wife and mother—and had no other life options.

Today we can’t say that—women have so many options and are certainly raising their voices! But the vague sense that something isn’t quite right still persists with so many of us—even though we may have it all or have made powerful choices in our lives, so often we feel that something is still missing and we are still craving a deeper fulfillment.

Why? And what’s the answer? In a nutshell: while we’ve broken through one glass ceiling after another, the new frontier is busting the glass ceilings inside ourselves that trap our Spirit, our sense of purpose, and our deepest passion for and trust in LIFE.

This is what Women Forging the Future—Two Days of Myth Busting, Soul Strengthening, and Ecstatic Liberation is all about. In these two virtual seminars on November 13 & 14, we will go to the root of these issues, and explore the depths of who we really are from the perspective of spiritual enlightenment.
